The Day the Earth Stood Still

A remake of the 1951 sci-fi classic of the same name, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL follows astrobiologist Helen Benson as she is unceremoniously plucked from her everyday life with her stepson, and whisked away to consult the government on a top-secret matter. That matter happens to be the arrival of a massive glowing sphere in Central Park, accompanied by a towering robot-like protector dubbed Gort and an alien ambassador named Klaatu, who takes up human form to communicate with the people of Earth.

The Day the Earth Stood Still trailer

If the Earth dies, you die. If the human race dies, the Earth survives.

We watched this movie because it's Keanu Reeves's. Regardless of all the negative critics, we would still go anyway. Proven it was not as exciting as you would expected but still quite a good and fast paced movie. People compared this movie to the original made in 1951 and since the original one was so outstanding, it's very hard to please the audiences with just an addition of special effects. Nevertheless, we have to show our support :) and we have already forgot most of what it said in the movie!
