May 22, 2010, Saturday, Brimham Rocks, Liverpool

It was the last day of our trip. We were taking the 9pm flight on Emirates from Manchester.
Kevin had again got a service call the night before and he was still sleeping by the time we finished breakfast. He eventually didn't take any breakfast that morning and we eventually left at around 10am. It was a shame that my CF had crashed. The Box Tree Cottage had got some very beautiful flowers planted in the garden. There were a lot of different tulips. I must had got a lot of pretty flowers on my 5D but not they were all gone!
We still had got 1 place to go before dropping Julie back to Liverpool. We headed for Brimham Rocks which was just less than 30 mintues from Ripon.
Brimham Rocks are balancing rock formations stand at a height of nearly 30 metres in an area owned by the National Trust which is part of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many variations of rock formations, caused by the Millstone Grit being eroded by water, glaciation and wind, most of which have achieved amazing shapes. Many of the formations have been named, though some imagination is required and the correct viewing angle is helpful. Examples are The Sphinx, The Watchdog, The Camel, The Turtle and The Dancing Bear. The children's television show Roger and the Rottentrolls was filmed in Brimham Rocks. Brimham Rocks features in the Bee Gees' video 'You Win Again"'.
At noon, we drove back to Liverpool which would take around 2 hours. And we had purchased fuel with Budget which meant that we could return the car the more empty the tank the better. So Mr Alan Wong decided we would just need 10pounds more gas to best utilise it.
We reached Ju's house just before 3pm. She made us instant noodle with lunchoen meat, the most delicious food from heaven! Liz came to see us off. We had good chats and very reluctantly we said goodbye and vowed to see one another again next year and it would be either Japan or Tasmania!

To avoid the possible traffic jam or tedious security procedures at the airport, we were ready to leave for Manchester Airport at 5pm.
A 16 Days 14 nights wonderful journey ended here.
