I had done research for days to look for the right B&Bs. We finally chose a champagne maker, a chateau and the rest are all very nice Chambres d'Hotes. I did all the research on internet and chose those only if they had their own websites and photos of rooms and surroundings. Making sure they were all off any main villages.

Turned out we all were extremely satisfied with what we chose. The hosts were all very friendly and real nice people and we enjoyed their hospitality totally. We took the Table d'Hotes in 4 of them and the dining experiences were just fabulous! And of course the champagne & wine :-) |

I do not have a driver's license. Alan had not been driving for 10 years, or so he claimed. We rented a Opel Zafira and turned out that he had been driving at 110-140 km/h!! Julie was too scared that she needed to close her eyes whenever we were on highways and ended up fallen asleep.

We drove over 1,700km (excluding those where Alan took the wrong turn) from Paris to East of France and back. It's a shame that it's getting cold now and the vineyards had all turned brown. Anyway, it's still very Europe and of course X'mas too. |
