14 of us stayed on the mountain for 3 days and then hanged around in Hangzhou for a couple of days.
我們一行十四人，在黃山總共遊覽了三天，再在杭州四處走走，全程共玩了六天。

Huangshan, a beautiful mountainous place.  My first time with a DSLR.  I just can't stop editing video thus I have pulled some photos from the old folders to make this up.  Brought back a lot of fond memories!  Enjoy!

It started with the normal 4, Kevin & Milly, Alan & myself. One led to the others and eventually we had 14! It's good. On one hand we could have our own car, guide, arrangement. Do whatever we want and at the same time keeping the cost the miminal... :)

Beautiful Scenes

Huangshan is known as one of the 5 great mountains in China. It has its own species of pines & habitat which does not exist elsewhere. If you have not been to Huangshan yet, check them out first. Also Hangzhou has changed a lot. Very different from what I saw when I was there some 12 years ago...

 

黃山，因岩壁色澤蒼黑，在秦朝時被稱為「黟山」。到了唐朝，因為有軒轅黃帝曾到此修煉的傳說，而在天寶六年 (西元747年) 由唐玄宗頒佈改名為「黃山」，從此這個名字便一直沿用至今。

黃山位處中國安徽省南部，地跨歙縣、太平、休寧及黟縣，是長江與錢塘江水系在安徽的分水嶺。

黃山風景區面積154平方公里，風景點400多處，現已開放的主要 景區有:溫泉景區、西海景區、北海景區、白云景區、夢幻景區、玉屏樓景區等。此外，還有云谷寺、松谷庵、白云溪、翡翠谷、九龍瀑、等游覽景區 。

杭州為浙江省省會。杭州一直以其物產豐富，風景秀麗而聞名，尤以西湖為甚。

西湖為杭州最著名的景區，它位於杭州西面 ，湖岸周長15公 里，面積約5.6平方公 里，三面環山，層巒疊嶂。西湖的景致隨著四季變化而變化，古人嘗將西湖概括為十景：蘇堤春曉、曲院風荷、斷橋殘雪，柳浪聞鶯，花港觀魚，雷峰夕照，雙峰插雲，南屏晚鐘，三潭印月。北宋一代大詩人蘇東坡把西湖比作美女西施，他是這樣描繪西湖的美“水光瀲灩晴方好，山色空蒙雨亦奇；欲把西湖比西子，淡妝濃抹總相宜”。
