蟄伏三年，周星馳再次推特別視覺效果的喜劇《長江7號》。故事講述一位以拾荒為生的父親鐵（周星馳飾）和兒子小狄（徐嬌飾）過着捉襟見肘的生活，小狄更經常被人欺負。某天，父親竟然拾得一隻外星生物！小狄把它命名為「長江7號」，並希望憑它的超能力擺平所有問題，在同學面前「吐氣揚眉」。可是，這外星人竟然另有主見，還製造了更多的麻煩…最後，兩父子明白到「家」的意義，以及錢並非萬能。
A fantasy
tale featuring state of the art visual effect, CJ7 is a comedy
about a poor laborer father played by Stephen Chow and his young
son. When a fascinating and strange new pet enters their
lives, they learn a poignant lesson about the true nature of
family and the things money can't buy.
Our beloved 周星星...
Stephen Chow is our Hong Kong people beloved super star. His
earlier movies were considered as shallow but those were the
reasons people like me love him so much. CJ7 is the 6th
movie he directed (國產淩淩漆，食神，喜劇之王，少林足球，功夫及長江七號).
My favorite movies/TV of him are:
他來自江湖，家有囍事，唐伯虎點秋香，食神，少林足球及功夫。 This
movie CJ7 received a lot of bad critics. A lot of people do
not like the Chinese 'taste' of it - it was not marketed for HK
but China. A lot of HK people (including myself) think
Stephen Chow belongs to HK. The trailer I embedded above is
in Mandarin but the movie was dubbed in Cantonese in HK.
Also people expected the movie a 周星星style
comedy. It turned out to be not very comedic. For me,
it's simple - I cried with the characters a couple of times.
After all, the movie is only 88 minutes, just doesn't have enough
time to tell a lot of things. For a shallow movie-goer like
me, I still think it's a movie must see.
